This solar plant is located at finca "La Corchuela" in Badajoz, province of Extremadura. Construction works started in June 2008 and will most likely be finished in November 2009.
However, one part of this plant has already been finished and connected to the grid in September 2008. The plant has an energy output of 150,000 kWh per year, which is fed into the grid of utility provider Sevillana Endesa who supplies 450 households with this energy. The plants have been respectively are constructed by Solea AG.
